'I'm an arrogant control freak, baby. You're going to hate me even as you crave what I do to you'
Blurb:
When my manager assigns me the task of finding a new wake up call service for our CEO, I think, how hard can this be?
Answer: practically impossible. It turns out that no wake-up call company in the world will take him on as a client. They’ve all had enough of his surly personality.
So in an effort not to lose my job, I secretly start making the calls myself, every day at 4:30 am sharp. OMG yes you read that right—four freaking thirty in the morning.
Confession: I’m not the nicest wake-up-call girl at that hour. Hello! Who wakes up before the roosters are even crowing? Luckily he doesn’t seem to mind my get-your-ass-out-of-bed attitude.
Day by day we’re becoming closer, and the calls start turning hot, like pay-by-the-minute hot and oh-so-wild. Snuggled under the covers with the moonlight streaming in the windows, we divulge our secrets to each other, but the one thing that he can never find out is that the sexy vixen who wakes him up every morning is just the lowly assistant who wears frumpy dresses. I can only imagine his disappointment.

Now he wants to take me out on a date and he’s scouring Manhattan to find me. He’s an overachieving billionaire bent on a mission. How much longer can I keep up this charade?
Review:
This book is a genuinely laugh out loud funny story! Theo is a billionaire CEO who immerses himself in the work that he does and alienates himself from others. He is a real no-nonsense type of person. Lizzie is smart, sassy and independent one of my favourite quotes form her is near the beginning of the book when she says 'Looks like Mr Amazing is being amazing elsewhere'. Although she has had a tough life. A number of things went wrong for her to now be working for Theo. As their relationship eventually progresses, she has to let Theo see her vulnerabilities. The chemistry between them is explosive! Theo needs a wakeup call service and when Lizzie is unable to find one that will provide their service to him, she has to take it upon herself to provide this service to him. This right here is the start of a funny, sexy and romantic connection between Lizzie and Theo. The banter between their characters (especially Lizzie as the ever elusive Operator Seven) is so fun and quick witted that you can't help but laugh. There are also so many sexy aspects to this story. Not only the dirty talk over the phone but the real life sexy encounters as well. There are also a number of funny workplace shenanigans that the pair run into. I feel like as Operator Seven Lizzie is able to say to Theo what many people have wanted to say to their bosses at some point in time. I found this to be a very refreshing read as I have never read a story like it. I have read many different workplace romances, billionaire romances and enemies to lovers romances but none of the stories have been similar to this one. I thought the idea behind it was incredibly unique. This one was another 5 ⭐ read for me! I have included one of my favourite quotes below 👀👇
'His hotness has its own force. It has its own gravity. It has its own zip code, miles past the neighbourhood of stop staring and deep in the religious experience of beauty zone'
